Irvine Cove, Family Portraits

At one of the lowest tides of the year, this family and I explored caves and hidden beaches remembered from their childhood. This time, seeing it through the eyes of their children exploring together. Attempting to photograph the natural and beautiful way a family interacts, we walked along the beach, and let the girls dance and play in the shallow waters of Newport Beach.

The special connections between family members always finds its way into the shoot, and it is obvious how much of a daddy’s girl this little one is. So happy spinning and playing with her dad.

Exploring these rocks and caves felt exciting for me, and I was eager to come back and watch these girls grow up here in this magical place in Newport Beach.
