i wish i was a baller… a little bit taller

t-ball-blogMy boy has been attending baseball games, playing whiffle ball in the street, and dreaming baseball (painted above his crib) ever since he could walk! We love it, live it, watch it, play it, and now are a big part of it via little league t-ball! It is more a sport resembling tackle football (fielding), golf(batting) and rock climbing (dugout fence) but it is the best one hour of the weekend, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to spend it at the ball field.

And because of this rainy weather, reserved for the weekends, this weekend was our first game. He definitely has the makings of legitimate baller, all with his enthusiasm and gusto. He will literally, much to the frustration of his coach, run all the way from left field to pitchers mound to get a grounder. And, as we like to call him the mayor with his social skills, in baseball, he doesn’t disappoint.  He does more talking then playing. And when I say more, I mean mostly talking, and a little playing. He’ll get it, eventually! And I will be here to enjoy it each step of the way.
